Swiss 3acomposites new composite project signed in Changzhou

On June 18th, the new material project of 3acomposites in Switzerland was signed and settled in Changzhou High-tech Zone. The total investment of the project is 30 million US dollars. The estimated sales will reach 400-500 million yuan after the completion of production. The director of the management committee, the district governor Qiao Junjie met with the representatives of 3acomposites, the deputy head of the district, Qi Yawei, and the representative of the Swiss 3acomposites company.

The 3acomposites Composites Group is part of the Swiss-listed Schweiter Group and became an independent division of the Schweiter Group on December 1, 2009. The Group has developed and produced a wide range of new composite materials since 1969, including structural core materials for a wide range of applications in the marine, road, rail, aerospace and wind power sectors, structural lightweight materials for automotive, transportation and industrial applications, and Lightweight plastic sheets, foam boards and aluminum alloy composites for display and graphic arts.

To meet the growing demand in the Chinese market, the Swiss 3acomposites Group plans to set up a high-performance PET composite production base. The project products are green, light-weight, high-strength composite materials, which are widely used in aviation, rail transit, wind power generation and other fields. The company belongs to the invisible champion of the sub-sector, and only three companies in the world can produce similar products.
