Orca Group Forms European Carbon Fiber Composites Group

The Angeloni Group combines four companies with expertise in carbon fiber composite supply chain into a vertically integrated group.

Orca Group (McKronon, Belgium) has established a third branch specializing in carbon fiber fabrics and high-tech composites with a focus on elastomer-coated textiles and thermoplastic multilayer films. The division, called the Angeloni Group, brings together Orca and its partners G. Angeloni, ITT, Dynanotex and Impregnatex.

The Angeloni Group was founded to provide expertise, innovation, efficiency and flexibility to customers in the technology composites market. Each of the group’s four companies plays a different role:

G. Angeloni srl (Italy Quarto d\’Altino) is a composite raw material trading company that includes carbon fiber fabrics;

ITT srl (Lesmo, Italy) develops and produces reinforced textiles or fabrics based on high-tech fibers;

Dynanotex srl (Quarto d\’Altino, Italy) develops and produces specialty reinforcements through patented technology; and develops and produces prepreg reinforcements with Impregnatex Compositi (Castano Primo, Italy).

Unified as a vertically integrated group designed to provide customers with effective solutions, high levels of service, responsiveness and reliability designed to meet the needs of the global niche market.

After acquiring Pennel & Flipo in 2015 and then acquiring Fait Plast in 2017, Orca will manage the Angeloni Group and continue to accelerate its strategy to build a pan-European player with high-tech engineering materials. Through this acquisition, Orca plans to become the top producer of carbon fiber fabrics in Europe.

Angeloni’s historical shareholders Mario and Marco Angeloni and Impregnatex founder Claudio Torno will reinvest in the business, take on management positions during the transition period, and then enter the new board. In addition, the second generation Angeloni and Torno families will take responsibility to predict the company’s future development.

“The new team has a very broad industry knowledge and a very dynamic team with more than 30 years of experience,” said Mario Angeloni, historical shareholder of G. Angeloni. “Based on our expertise in the carbon composite value chain, we can support our global customers through a professional and highly qualified technical team to provide fast, targeted customer project solutions.”
