DSM launches I AM Tomorrow Challenge to drive innovation in 3D printing
Royal DSM is a global scientific nutrition, health and sustainable living company that announced the I AM Tomorrow Challenge, a start-up and upgrade acceleration program for data analysis, artificial intelligence and other advanced software solutions for large-scale 3D printing. . It is called additive manufacturing.
The challenge, launched in partnership with HighTechXL, Hexagon and Ultimaker, provides selected companies with a 10-week acceleration program designed to drive or expand their business. After the acceleration plan, the participating startups may be eligible for funding or working with DSM.
By reducing waste and reducing transportation, additive manufacturing is becoming a more sustainable, transparent and cost-effective way to manufacture products. For more than two years, DSM’s team has helped pioneers in the additive manufacturing industry with its Somos products. Today, the company actively collaborates with and works with companies in the 3D printing value chain to leverage the potential of additive manufacturing. The I AM Tomorrow Challenge is designed to inspire the digital ecosystem, which could affect the future of additive manufacturing in the coming decades.

Ten successful applicants will be invited to participate in the Acceleration Program at the HighTechXL campus in Eindhoven and Boston (USA), which will include expert tutoring, master classes and exclusive networking opportunities. During the acceleration program, Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence department will work with DSM and partners to evaluate companies interested in participating in and developing platforms that will provide end-to-end digital solutions for additive manufacturing.
